ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Judicial Commission (JCP) has announced the timetable for interviews of shortlisted candidates vying for judgeships in various High Courts.
The interview sessions for candidates aiming to serve on the Islamabad and Balochistan High Courts are scheduled for July 13. For the Sindh High Court, interviews will be conducted over two days, on July 14 and 15. The Lahore High Court interviews are set for July 16 and 17, with a total of 24 candidates called for the judge positions.
Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi will preside over the interview panels for both Lahore and Islamabad High Courts. Lahore High Court’s Chief Justice Aalia Neelum will be a member of all the interview committees. Justice Aamer Farooq is appointed as the head of the panel for Sindh and Balochistan High Courts. The Attorney General of Pakistan, Mansoor Usman Awan, will also participate as a member of these committees.
Prominent figures such as PPP Senator Farooq H. Naek, Senator Syed Ali Zafar, and Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon are included in the panels, contributing to the selection process.
