SHANGHAI: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Shanghai for a important two-day official visit to China, accompanied by a delegation. During his stay, he will participate in the signing ceremony to establish the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO), representing Pakistan as a founding member. Additionally, he will be present at the opening of the 2026 World AI Conference scheduled for tomorrow and will hold bilateral discussions with Chinese officials.
Upon landing, Mr. Dar was greeted by Wu Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, alongside Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires in China, Aizaz Khan, and the Consul General of Pakistan in Shanghai, Shahzad Ahmad Khan. The visit underscores the growing cooperation between Pakistan and China in technological and economic sectors.
