HARNAI: A Rs23 million Safe City surveillance project has been inaugurated in Harnai, marking a major step towards improving public safety and strengthening the district’s security infrastructure.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Jamali said the newly installed CCTV surveillance network is designed to enhance law and order, safeguard citizens, and protect public and private property.
He said the modern monitoring system would assist law enforcement agencies in preventing criminal activities, improving surveillance capabilities, and enabling faster responses to emergencies.
Speaking on the occasion, Colonel Arbab Ali Khan said the initiative is the result of coordinated efforts between civil authorities and security institutions. He added that the adoption of advanced surveillance technology would significantly contribute to maintaining peace in Harnai and that additional security measures would be introduced in the future.
Members of the local business community and residents welcomed the completion of the project, calling it an important milestone for the district. They also thanked the Balochistan government, district administration, and Frontier Corps for successfully implementing the Safe City initiative.
