RAWALPINDI: A severe multi-vehicle collision occurred on the Lahore-Islamabad M2 Motorway close to Capital Smart City in Rawalpindi amidst heavy rainfall on Monday, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to 20 others.
According to preliminary information, several vehicles, including a bus, were involved in the devastating crash. Sadly, one passenger aboard the bus lost their life, while the remaining 20 sustained injuries.
Motorway police along with rescue teams swiftly responded to the scene, initiating immediate relief efforts. Emergency responders administered first aid to the injured at the site before rushing them to nearby medical facilities.
As of now, three injured individuals have been discharged after receiving treatment, with the remaining 17 still under medical care. The authorities continue to investigate the incident to determine the exact cause.
