ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of Pakistan has announced the arrest of a man suspected of involvement in the production and distribution of counterfeit visas and related documents in Lahore.
Authorities from the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit revealed that during the operation, they confiscated 305 Pakistani passports, numerous fake visa stickers from multiple countries, and approximately 100 forged identification cards and other counterfeit papers from the suspect’s possession.
The individual, identified as Muhammad Ajmal Iqbal, is also wanted in connection with a previous case registered in Lahore in 2020, according to FIA officials.
A case has been filed under FIR No. 1001/2026, citing multiple sections including 18/22 EO 1979, 420/468/471/109 PPC, and 6 PA 1974, at the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Lahore.
FIA authorities confirmed that the investigation is ongoing as they continue to gather evidence related to the case.
