Islamabad Police, NCCIA extend recruitment deadline to September 14

ISLAMABAD: The deadline to apply for various posts in Islamabad Police and the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has been extended to September 14, 2026, providing aspiring candidates additional time to submit their applications.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced the extension in a post on X, encouraging young people from across the country to take advantage of the recruitment opportunity.

“Young men and women from across Pakistan, step forward and serve the nation with pride,” the minister said.

The recruitment drive offers vacancies in operational, technical and administrative categories, with positions available for candidates with different educational backgrounds.

Available vacancies

The advertised posts include:

Sub-Inspector (BS-14): 48 posts

Assistant Sub-Inspector (BS-09): 36 posts

Constable (BS-05): 174 posts

Technical Assistant (BS-14): 15 posts

Stenotypist (BS-14): 8 posts

Upper Division Clerk (UDC) (BS-11): 6 posts

Constable Driver (BS-05): 64 posts

Educational requirements

Applicants with Intermediate, Bachelor’s degrees, Computer/IT-related qualifications, Matric and other relevant educational credentials can apply for different positions, subject to the eligibility criteria prescribed for each post.

Candidates are advised to review the requirements of their desired position carefully before submitting an application.

Age and physical requirements

The general age requirement for the advertised positions is 18 to 25 years.

Physical fitness requirements also apply to candidates seeking positions such as Constable, Constable Driver, Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector.

Under the prescribed running test:

Male candidates: 1.6 kilometres in 7 minutes

Female candidates: 1.6 kilometres in 10 minutes

Application procedure

Eligible candidates can apply online through the National Police Foundation – Testing & Assessment Service (NPFTAS) recruitment portal.

Candidates applying for more than one position will have to submit a separate application and pay the prescribed fee for each post.

Application fee

The recruitment authorities have fixed the application fee at Rs2,000 per post.

The revised deadline for submitting applications is September 14, 2026.
