WEB DESK: Jemima Goldsmith, who was married to former Prime Minister Imran Khan and is renowned as a film producer, has reportedly entered into a new marriage with businessman Cameron O’Reilly.
As per a report published by the Daily Mail, Jemima, a 52-year-old acclaimed film producer and a close associate of the late Princess Diana, married 62-year-old Cameron O’Reilly last weekend.
Previously, in May, The Sunday Mail disclosed that the couple had become engaged after dating for about a year.
Cameron O’Reilly, of Irish heritage and an Australian citizen, is the son of the late media mogul and international rugby legend Sir Anthony O’Reilly. He has a background working within his father’s enterprises, including Independent News & Media and Australian publisher APN News & Media. Later, he transitioned into private equity, holding the position of CEO at APN News & Media until 2000.
In 2003, he launched Beardy Capital, a private investment fund, and acquired the Swiss media firm Lands & Geyer, where he served as CEO. In 2011, the company was bought by Toshiba for $2.3 billion.
The two reportedly crossed paths when Cameron was serving as an executive producer on various documentaries and films. Their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship over time.
A close confidant of Jemima has stated that the pair had known each other for quite some time, initially meeting through professional connections, and were friends before their romance developed.
Jemima’s brother, Ben Goldsmith, confirmed that the marriage took place last night.
