WEB DESK: Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, the Olympic gold medalist in javelin throw, was unable to secure a medal at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship.
The competition took place in Budapest, where eight athletes, including Arshad Nadeem, competed in the final of the javelin throw. Despite his efforts, Arshad Nadeem did not deliver a performance to qualify for the next rounds.
His first throw measured 74.42 meters, followed by 79.66 meters in his second attempt. His third throw was 81.49 meters, but he failed to qualify for the fourth attempt, ending his chances for a medal.
The event was won by Sri Lanka’s Ramesh Pothasrage, who threw a record-breaking 91.09 meters on his final attempt to claim the title.
