ISLAMABAD: Following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the SMS registration process for the petrol subsidy scheme has now been made entirely free of charge. This move aims to further assist low- and middle-income families benefiting from the fuel subsidy initiative.
The scheme targets owners of motorcycles, rickshaws, and vehicles up to 800cc, providing essential relief to commuters across the nation, including residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
To register, applicants should send an SMS to 9771 with the following format: “REG” space CNIC number, vehicle registration number, the initial letter of the province where the vehicle is registered, and the vehicle registration date.
