NEW YORK: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that the security and sanctity of Harmain al-Sharifain constitute an absolute red line that must not be violated under any circumstances.
Addressing the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the prime minister strongly condemned the recent attacks by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia.
He said the attempted drone attack targeting the holy city of Makkah had deeply angered Muslims around the world and denounced the incident in the strongest terms.
Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s full solidarity with the people and leadership of Saudi Arabia, stressing that the country stands firmly with its brotherly nation in the face of threats to its security and the sanctity of the holy sites.
