WEB DESK: Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has responded with sarcasm to politician Saqib Chadhar’s allegation that she used their dispute to attract attention and earn money on YouTube.
In a video posted online, Iqbal and her husband joked that they had made so much from the platform they could not decide how to spend it. They also quipped that YouTube might close their channel because it could not afford to pay them.
Their remarks appeared to refer to Chadhar’s comments in an earlier interview. He alleged that Iqbal had invoked his name to gain publicity and build an audience for a YouTube channel.
The dispute has also included allegations of online harassment. Iqbal previously approached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, alleging harassment and threatening behaviour. Chadhar’s claims about her motives remain allegations and have not been established as fact.
