265 Girls relocated to boys’ school after Lahore building declared unsafe

LAHORE: A girls’ higher secondary school in Mozang has been declared unsafe, prompting authorities to shift 265 students to a nearby boys’ school during the ongoing academic session.

The affected students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mozang, have been transferred to Government Community Boys High School, where they will attend classes in the evening shift.

The boys’ school currently accommodates 401 male students during morning hours, while the relocated girls will use the same premises in the evening.

The decision has sparked concern among parents, who believe the sudden change of school and class timings could disrupt their daughters’ education.

Reports suggest that several girls have refused to attend evening classes following the relocation, raising concerns about a possible drop in student enrolment.

Parents are concerned that the disruption could affect students’ academic progress during the ongoing session.
