LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday ordered authorities to give possession of recovered land back to Khokar brothers.
The high court, while hearing a plea against demolition of parts of the Khokar Palace, suspended the order of ADCR and directed parties of the case to approach civil court.
During the hearing, the court asked government lawyer that according to which law walls of the residence were demolished and where it is written that authorities have the power to demolish walls.
On this, the counsel said that the complainant had illegally occupied the land and walls adjacent to the palace were demolished.
Earlier, Saif-ul-Malook Khokar had filed a contempt of court plea in Lahore High Court (LHC) after district administration demolished parts of Khokar Palace on Sunday.
