Karachi: Following the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has taken possession of a park named Askari Park at Purani Sabzi Mandi and has changed its name as well.
Director General (DG) parks KMC had written a letter to the management of the Askari Park, in which it was apprised that as per the orders of Supreme Court Of Pakistan, the park be given to the custody of the KMC.
According to the DG parks KMC Junaid Ullah, the park name has been changed to the KMC amusement Park from the Askari Park.
He also apprised that the entry of the masses in the park is now free.
The DG parks also informed further that former management of park has closed marriage halls in the park and handed over to the KMC.
