Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) has changed date of its protest against disputed delimitation in Karachi for Local Bodies Polls second in Karachi and Hyderabad.
The MQM-P which has set January 9 for the protest now will stage a protest on January 11 instead.
The protest will be held outside the provincial election commission office.
JI Protest Against Any Delay In LG Polls Today
Moreover , Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi will hold stage a protest in front of Quaid-e-Azam mausoleum today against any delay in second phase of Local Bodies Elections (LB Elections) in Karachi and Hyderabad.
The JI chapter Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman has demanded to hold the LG polls under the supervision of army.
Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman also said that ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) wanted running away from the elections by using the shoulders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
He also demanded that powers be given to Rangers to ensure law and order situation in the metropolis.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has also commented yesterday that the imported mafia wanted to run away from the local bodies elections in Karachi and Hyderabad.
PPP To Hold Political Rally For LG Polls In Karachi
On the other hand provincial ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will hold a power show in Karachi today.
The rally will start from Bilawal Chowrangi in the leadership of Karachi division president and provincial minister Saeed Ghani.
Besides Saeed Ghani other leaders of Karachi cadre of the party will also address the rally.
