Peshawar: A number of death toll in Peshawar horrific bomb blast has climbed to 132 while other 150 were injured.
As per the rescue, the bomb blast occurred in-side a mosque situated in the police lines in Sadar Peshawar.
The intensity of the blast so much loud that it was heard far and wide while sound of firing also was heard in surrounding areas. Rescue officials reached the crime scene after the blast and transferred the injured persons to near by hospitals which included the lady reading hospital.
The law enforcement agencies personnel were also reached the spot while they sealed the area.
As per the lady reading hospital 32 people have been confirmed martyred out of which 18 are police personnel whereas as many as 150 people were injured and conditions of the most of the injured were stated to be critical.
The administration of the LRH appealed the masses to donate large quantity of the blood as blood is indeed needed.
The police said the blast occurred in the front row of the worshipers offering the Zuhar (afternoon) prayer and it was so powerful that the front portion of the mosque was razed to the ground.
The people in a large number thronged the hospital to inquire about the health of their loved ones and donate blood.
The LRH spokesman, however, urged the families to avoid rushing into the hospital wards so that quick treatment should be provided to the injured.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department imposed emergency in all three major hospitals of Peshawar.
The police have surrounded the area around the police lions.
Civil Secretariat home ministry, Provincial Disaster Management Authority and Central Jail are situated near the Police lines Peshawar
An emergency has been imposed in the lady reading hospital.
Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan has directed to expedite rescue activities to save lives of the injured.
He directed emergency steps for shifting the injured to the hospital immediately.
Muhammad Azam Khan also directed the health authorities to ensure provision of best medical treatment to the injured.
KP Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan, meanwhile, strongly condemned the blast and directed the hospital administrations to provide the best treatment to the victims. He also prayed for eternal peace to the martyred and fortitude for their families, besides early recovery of the injured.
