Islamabad: President Dr. Arif Alvi has expressed deep grief over the loss of precious lives due to powerful earthquake in Turkiye and Syria.
In a statement, he extended condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, people of Turkiye and the families of the victims of the earthquake.

The President also conveyed his sincerest condolences to the people of Syria over the loss of precious lives.
In this hour of grief, the people of Pakistan and my sympathies are with Turkeyi. May Allah grant patience to the heirs of the deceased, may the deceased rest in peace. My sincerest condolences to the people of Syria also over the loss of precious lives.

Speaker National Assembly Raja Parvez Ashraf and Deputy Speaker National Assembly Zahid Akram Durrani have expressed their deep sorrow and grief over the loss of lives and Property caused by the terrible earthquake in Turkey, Syria and Lebanon.
While expressing condolences to the governments and people of Turkey, Syria and Lebanon for the loss of precious lives, both in their separate messages said that the Parliament and people of Pakistan stand by the governments and people of Turkey, Syria and Lebanon in this hour of grief.
They also assured of Pakistan’s all out support in the relief and rehabilitation activities.
