Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered Wednesday to stop operation for arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan till 10 am morning tomorrow.
The LHC resumed hearing for possible arrest of Imran Khan a police cordon around Zaman Park.
Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh heard the petition against police arrest of Imran Khan and Police cordon around Zaman Park. The Judge said ” I wanted peace in Lahore adding that if you moved back 200 fit then there will be no issue.”
Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police said that he is abound to follow the courts order.
The court has allowed the police to remain far from Mall Canal Bridge, Dharampura Bridge and Thandi Sarak with the distance of 500 meter.
During the hearing the IG apprised the court that our vehicles were burnt with the throwing of petrol bombs adding that it was necessary take care of Pakistan Super League 8th edition security.
He apprised further to court that rangers vehicles were poured with petrol’s and it was situation in the morning adding that they protestors ruined green belt across the roads, governmental things were also destroyed.
The IG said that the court ends warrants and we return back adding that arrest of those who ruined the vital stuff are must.
He said that we have videos of the protestors involved in vandalizing adding that we were victimized heavily.
On the point of view of the IG, the court said that what respond you have if we stop the operation for time being as hearing is underway in Islamabad.
The IG replied that we have to arrest people who ruined the governmental assets.
