Islamabad: Supreme Court and National Assembly has come face to face over elections in Punjab as a resolution will be presented in lower house of the parliament today.
The resolution will be against the SC three-member bench verdict which declared the ECP decision of March 2 null and void. The SC in its judgement in the PTI’s petition against the ECP decision, has ordered the ECP to hold elections in Punjab on May 14.
The ECP has issued revised schedule of the elections in Punjab yesterday.
In today’s session of NA, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will address the session. Federal Law Minister said that senior judges were left far from the bench.
He said that if a full court is not constituted then constitutional and political crisis will intensify.
