Bangladesh out from Asia Cup as Sri Lanka defeated it by 21 runs

Colombo: Bangladesh decision to ball first could not play any role as the bengal tigers out from Asia cup after Sri Lanka defeated it by 21 runs on its home ground at Colombo.

Chasing of 258-run target Bangladesh whole team bowled out at 236 runs.

Tohid Hardoye was remained prominent as he scored 82 runs while no other player of the Bengal tigers even crossed 30 runs.

Others players of Bangladesh scored Mushfiq Ur Rehman, 29, Mehdi Hassan 28 and Muhammad Naeem 21 runs.

Earlier playing first on invitation of Bangladesh Sri Lanka had given 258 runs chase target to Bangladesh in super fours round of 11th Asia Cup here at Colombo.

Three batter of Sri Lanka Sadeera’s brilliant 93, Kusal’s 50 and Pathum Nissanka 40 were out performed today.

Bangal tigers Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud took three wickets each while Shoriful Islam got two wickets.
