Peshawar: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali on Sunday approved the appointment of Justice (retd) Syed Arshad Hussain as a caretaker Chief Minister.
The ex-justice who remained chief justice of Gilgat Baltistan as well was jointly nominated by ex-chief minister Mahmood Khan and former opposition leader Akram Khan Durrani.
It is likely that he will take oath of office today in the evening.
Justice (retd) Syed Arshad Hussain has been appointed caretaker Chief Minister of KP after passing away of Azam Khan, who had died yesterday in the age of 87 years.
