Motorways are considered to be a means of fast and safe travel but the number of dangerous accidents on the motorways has increased in recent times, the Motorways Police has started taking strict measures to implement policies to prevent accidents.
According to DIG Motorways Chaudhry Saleem, the Motorways Police fined more than 900,000 vehicles on M4 and M5 this year, and route permits of 166 buses were canceled for serious violations.
According to the Motorway Police officials, the licenses of 80 drivers involved in the accidents have been cancelled, drugs worth more than Rs 40 million was deducted.
