Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lifetime supremo Nawaz Sharif said that the country which was on path of the development and prosperity was halted from its path by some characters.
Addressing a meeting of candidates of party tickets in Lahore, former premier said that those people who forced the country on the deteriorating path must be made accountable.
The PML-N chief said that the country witnessed a very difficult era in the last four years.
Nawaz Sharif claimed that the economy was better and development was at full swing in our reign.

He said that the society was moving ahead in every aspect in our rule as some characters appeared who pressed the breaks on the country developments.
The responsible for the country economic disruption must be asked “Why did you do it with the country?”he questioned.
He said that it is our country and our future generations have to live here, at least we will leave behind a better country.
Referring to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, he said that how they handed over the country to a clumsy.

He said that if the coalition government were not taken over the country then Pakistan would have been defaulted.
Nawaz Sharif apprised that in his last rule Chinese President Xi Jinping had said “the CPEC is a gift for you” while he claimed that efforts were made to roll back the CPEC our end of his government.
He said that we have to fix our relations with India and Iran .
