Karachi: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan has finalized its candidates for National Assembly (NA) seats as its convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddique will contest election from NA 248 district central whereas Deputy convener Syed Mustafa Kamal and Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar will contest the elections on two seats of the NA.
According to the spokesman of the MQM-P, from NA-229 Dr Fozia Hameed will be the candidate of the MQM-P, from three seats of district Korangi, Asia Ishaq will compete election on NA- 232 and Javed Hanif from NA-233 and Moeen Pirzada from NA-234.
From district east, Iqbal Mahsood will be the MQMP candidate from NA-235, Hassan Sabir NA-236 and Rauf Siddique will take part in the elections on NA-237 and Sadiq Iftakhar from NA-238.
Former vice-mayor Arshad Vohra will contest elections from NA-240 district South.
Ex-mayor Dr Farooq Sattar will fight elections from NA-241 district South and NA-244 from district West.
Former mayor Syed Mustafa Kamal will contest elections from NA-242 district Kemari and NA-247 district central 247.
Humayun Usman will be the candidate of the MQM-P on NA-243 district Kemari and ex-MPA Hafeez Uddin will contest elections from NA-245 district West.
The MQM-P convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddique will fight the election from NA-248 district Central and former federal minister Amin Ul Haq will compete the election from NA-245 district West
From NA-249 district Central Ahmed Saleem Siddique will be the candidate of the MQM-P whereas Farhan Chisti will take part in elections from NA-250.
As per the MQM-P spokesperson, the party has also finalized its candidates form provincial assembly from Karachi.
