Lahore: Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik is celebrating his first birthday after his second marriage with Sana Javed recently while he turned 42 today, on February 1.
He was born in 1982 in Sialkot, Pakistan. Malik has had a long career and is among the few cricketers who debuted in 90s to be still playing professional cricket, if not international cricket.

Reacting to Shoaib’s marriage announcement, Sania’s sister Anam Mirza took to Instagram to confirm that the retired tennis star and the former Pakistani cricketer have been divorced for a few months now.
In past Shoaib Malik fell in love with Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza and in 2010, the couple got married after dating for some time, to shock everyone. It was for the first time that two big celebrities from across the border decided to tie the knot. Sania became ‘Bhabhi’ for the whole of Pakistan. However, the marriage ended in 2023.
Shoaib Malik, the former captain of Pakistan, will make a comeback to the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024, rejoining Fortune Barishal after dispelling match-fixing rumors that caused his sudden departure. Malik abruptly left the team amid speculations and Ahmed Shehzad temporarily replaced him.

After allegations, Malik decided to break his silence and soon released an official statement on his social media handles.
Shoaib Malik is scheduled to make his comeback to the BPL on February 2, playing for Fortune Barishal.
According to an ESPN Cricinfo report, he will be available for the crucial clash against Khulna Tigers in the last game of the Sylhet leg. Malik’s performance in the BPL 2024 has been below par, with scores of 17, 5, and 7 in his three outings, along with just one wicket with the ball. Ahmed Shehzad stepped in as his temporary replacement during his absence.
