Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Wahab Riyaz as a senior team manager despite having manager Mansoor Rana who has been on the position for four years.
The Cricket circles have expressed astonishment over the appointment of Wahab Riyaz as senior team manager.
They also questioned why Wahab Riyaz appointed as senior manager in the presence of manager?
There is no position of senior team manager before in the PCB, the post is specially created for Wahab Riyaz.
Sources said that Wahab Riyaz will keep any eye on the selection policy while he will give rotation policy plan in an every match.
Wahab will also ensure team selection as per the plan while Wahab Riyaz opinion will be vital in selection of playing 11.
Former chief selector will also monitor work load on every players. Maximum chances will be given to every player in five-match T-20 series against New Zealand.
Sources said that Wahab Riyaz in his meeting with players on Monday briefed them about selection policy for the New Zealand series.
