QUETTA: The Meterological Department has predicted heavy rain in Balochistan for next 24 hrs.
As per Meteorological Department, this pattern is likely to persist for the next 24 hours, affecting both urban centres and remote areas alike.
In northern Balochistan, including Chaman city and its surrounding areas, the weather has taken a chilly turn as rain persists. Residents find themselves bundling up against the sudden drop in temperature. The Chaman deputy commissioner has alerted the administration throughout the district.
However, this respite comes at a cost as the supply of electricity has been disrupted, plunging neighbourhoods into darkness and causing inconvenience to the populace.
Furthermore, intermittent rain continues in Kohlu and its surrounding areas, due to which, the low-lying areas have been flooded and electricity supply suspended.
Jacobabad and its surroundings experienced heavy rain accompanied by strong winds, offering a refreshing change in weather. However, similar to Chaman, the joy was short-lived as power outages followed swiftly, adding to the woes of the local residents.
