Dublin: Pakistan won the three match T-20 series against Ireland by beating it in third match by six wickets.
A 139-run partnership between Pakistan skipper Baber Azam and Muhammad Rizwan played a vital role in winning the match as he scored 75 runs with a strike rate of 178.
Muhammad Rizwan made 56 runs off 38 balls while Azam Khan ended the match with a six who scored 18 runs off just six balls.
Shaheen Shah Afridi declared man of the match over taking three wickets.
From Ireland side Mark Adair got three wickets while Craig Young took one wicket.
Earlier, Ireland gave a target of 179 runs to Pakistan for chase in the decisive third and last match of the series.
The host team scored 179 runs off seven wickets in 20 overs whereas Ireland captain Lorcan Tucker played captain’s innings as he remained the highest scorer from his side scoring 73 runs with strike rate of 173.
Furthermore Andy Balbirnie made 35 runs and Harry Tector scored unbeaten 30 runs.
Moreover, Shaheen Shah Afridi took three wickets while Abbass Afridi got two wickets. Muhammad Amir and Imad Waseem could get one wicket each.
Earlier, Pakistan decided to field first and invited the host to bat.
Both Pakistan and Ireland have one change in their sides as Pakistan brought Hassan Ali replacing Naseem Shah while Ireland also took one change.
Ireland defeated Pakistan first match by five wickets after achieving Pakistan target of 183 runs off 5 wickets in the last over and one ball to spare.
It is pertinent to mention here that it was first win of Ireland against Pakistan in T-20 internationals.
On the other hand Pakistan got victory in second match of the series by seven wickets by completing the Ireland target of 194 in the 17th over.
