Islamabad: The impact of recently presented budget started surfacing as cement prices hiked in the first week of this month.
According the government documents, in just a week cement prices hiked by Rs 207 on 50 kg sack and is being sold at Rs 1500.
The highest prices recorded in Lahore and Peshawar, as per the govt documents.
The cement price also raised by Rs 207 on 50 Kg bag in Larkana while the cement bags have gotten expensive in Banu and Quetta by Rs 163 and Rs 160 respectively.
In Sargodha, the cement price on 50 kg sack increase by Rs 160, while Multan recorded an increase of Rs 155 on 50 Kg bag.
It is pertinent to mention here that the government has hiked the excise duty from Rs 3 to Rs 4.
