KARACHI: The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has rejected reports circulating about Plot No. C-19 in Block R, North Nazimabad, describing them as baseless and unverified, and has approached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for action against individuals allegedly involved in spreading misleading information.
A KDA spokesperson said the Authority had sent letters to the directors of both agencies, requesting necessary action in accordance with the law. The spokesperson emphasised that any conclusions regarding the disputed matter should be based on verified facts, official records and relevant legal provisions.
The spokesperson maintained that protecting citizens’ property rights, ensuring transparency and upholding the law remained among the Authority’s key responsibilities. The KDA also cautioned the public against believing or sharing unverified information and advised citizens to approach the relevant offices for authentic details.

The spokesperson further stated that the Authority would identify employees found violating the government’s social media policy and initiate appropriate disciplinary and legal proceedings under the applicable service rules.
Rejecting what it described as attempts to damage its reputation, the KDA reiterated that it would continue its development and public service activities without allowing unnecessary pressure to interfere with its official responsibilities.
