ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court of Islamabad on Friday indicted PPP Senator Rubina Khalid and other suspects in Lok Virsa funds embezzlement reference.
Accountability judge Mohammad Bashir heard the NAB reference filed against suspect Rubina Khalid, Mazhar Islam, Tabinda Zafar and Mohammad Shafi for allegedly misappropriating Rs30.13 million in Lok Virsa funds.
However, all the suspects including the Senator pleaded “not guilty” before the court.
Later, the court summoned another witness, putting off hearing of the case till September 4.
In a previous hearing held on July 23, AC delayed Rubina’s indictment after she failed to turn up to the court due to ailment.
