Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Aitzaz Ahsan has demanded that opposition should have head probe commission for investigation into the Panama leaks adding that investigation into the Panama papers be carried out from international forensic organization.
Talking to media after meeting Senator Hidayat Ullah from Federal Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), the PPP leader said that they have agreed on with the government over four points. The investigation into the Panama leaks carried out by international forensic organization, commission procedure decided by parliamentarians and commission in chair of Chief Justice of Pakistan should probe the leaks.
He said that inquiry should be initiated against Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and his family regarding the Panama leaks. Aitzaz said that “think it our desire or demand, PM should surface his sources of income and taxes paid in last 25 years.” The PPP leader said that masses of the country wanted to know where from the premier made his assets.
Aitzaz opined that the head of probe commission should be taken from the opposition and would be head would decide the commission members. He went on to say that this sought of committee they will admit and also win over Imran Khan over it.
He said that consultation over calling opposition joint meeting is continued adding that the PM son Hussain Nawaz confession statement has appeared and he has admitted his assets details.
