KARACHI: An angry mob attacked an international food chain restaurant in Karachi’s Defence area, causing significant damage. According to DIG South Asad Raza, the police arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control.
This is the fourth attack on the international food chain since yesterday. The previous day, unidentified individuals had attacked foreign food chain restaurants at three different locations in the city. The attackers used stones and sticks to vandalize the restaurants, with incidents occurring near National Stadium, Mohammad Ali Society, and Bahadurabad Four Minar Chowrangi.
In Defence’s Khayaban-e-Ittehad area, an angry crowd stormed the international food chain restaurant, smashing windows.
According to the police, the incident occurred at the signal near Defence Khayaban-e-Ittehad, where the mob attacked the foreign food chain restaurant and began causing damage. The police called in additional forces to control the situation.
The police reported that the protesters were allegedly demonstrating against Israeli atrocities in Palestine. One person involved in the vandalism was arrested with a hammer, while several others were also taken into custody.
