Karachi (October 20, 2017): An anti-terrorism court on Friday indicted two accused in SSP Chaudhry Aslam murder case.
The ATC heard Chaudhry Aslam murder case today. The suspected militants involved in the murder of the cop including Zafar alias Saeen and Ubaid alias Aabi were produced before the court.

The ATC judge indicted both the accused in the high profile case. The judge read out the charges to the accused who pleaded not guilty.
The accused opted to contest the charges framed against them.
Upon this the court issued notice to Investigation Officer of the case and prosecution witnesses for Nov 7, 2017.
The court adjourned further hearing till then.
The accused were arrested by CTD police. According to prosecution, the accused had confessed of facilitating the high profile murder and monitoring the officer for the assassin.
The cop was murdered in a suicide attack on his motorcade on the Lyari Expressway in January 2014. The SP and his two police guards were killed in the attack.
The police have shown the then chief of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan Mullah Fazlullah, spokesman Shahidullah Shahid, head of the proscribed Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (Naeem Bukhari group) Naeem Bukhari and others as absconders in the case.
The FIR of the case was registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder), 324 (attempted murder), 353 (criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 109 (abetment) of the Pakistan Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of the Explosive Substances Act read with Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act at the PIB Colony police station.
