Islamabad (July 20, 2017): An Anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday again sought details of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and PAT Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri’s properties inside Pakistan from authorities concerned.

ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand heard SSP Asmat Junejo torture case.

Police Inspector Ghulam Mustafa recorded his deposition before the court.

The court was told that SSP Asmat Junejo was in US due to which he could not attend the court proceeding.

The main witness ASI Ghulam Mustafa while deposing before the judge said that he had obtained the copy of arrest order of Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qadri.

He added that he started investigation after getting copy of the FIR.

He further said that he had requested the high-up to constitute a joint investigation team (JIT) in the case but his request was not heeded to.

He added that he had sought the CDs of torture on the police officer from chairman Pemra but only one CD was provided. After that he was transferred, he added.

On the next date of hearing,  two other witnesses would record their statement.

 

It is to be mentioned here that the court had declared Imran and Qadri as proclaimed offenders in the case.

The court while seeking details of Imran and Qadri’s properties in Pakistan adjourned hearing of the case till August 24, 2017.

It is to be mentioned here that the ATC started the process to attach the properties of Imran and Qadri for not appearing before the court in the SSP torture case.

On Wednesday, Chief Commissioner had contacted with other deputy commissioners across the country to sought property details of Imran and Qadri.

Last Friday, ATC had summoned details of properties and assets owned by the two leaders in the assault case after they were declared proclaimed offenders.
