Magistrate Gulfam Latif Butt rejected model Ayyan Ali’s plea to record testimony in custom inspector Ijaz Ahmed’s murder case.
The court rejected Ayyan’s plea because the case did not come in the court’s jurisdiction. While giving arguments in the court, Prosecutor lawyer Sajid Siddique was of the view that anti terrorism article included in the case, therefore the court did not have authority to record Ayyan Ali’s testimony.
Defense lawyer Muhammad Latif Khosa said police should record Ayyan Ali’s testimony, it will be consider later that either anti terrorism article apply on the case or not. After hearing both sides’ arguments, the court rejected Ayyan’s plea.
