Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would announce another good news for the nation in the next few days.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Azma Bukhari said that a reduction in power prices would provide much-needed relief to the masses.
“A lot of hard work had to be done to slash the power tariff. Convincing the IMF for that was not a cakewalk.”She said.
The Minister said that the economy of the country had now been put on the right track.
She further said that while a vast majority of people welcomed a reduction in electricity prices, there were some people who were not pleased with the government’s decision at all.
Dispelling the impression that there were differences between the PML-N and the PPP, she said that the latter was the former’s ally and there was no bad blood between the two parties.
She advised PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to sit with the prime minister and convey his grievances to him.
