Banners put up in city areas in ‘response’ to pro-Altaf banners

Banners were put up in different areas of the city with slogans against ‘traitors’ of the country in apparent response to similar banners put up in some areas of the city with threatening slogans against ‘traitor’ to Altaf Hussain.  The banners have been put up by unknown people on behalf of Ahlian-e-Karachi (people of Karachi).

It is to be mentioned here that few days ago, banners inscribed with a threatening slogan against “traitor” to Altaf Hussain were put up outside the  Sindh High Court building, which caused a stir in the city. The banners read ‘Jo Quaid-i-Tehrik Ka Ghaddar Hay, Wo Maut Ka Haqdar Hay — Jansheen-i-Altaf Hussain.’ However, on Tuesday night, banners, in apparent response to the pro-Altaf banners, were put up in different areas of the city. The banners have been displayed at Jinnah Bridge, Keamari, I. I. Chundrigarh Road, Shaheen Complex, Data Corner, Arts Council, National Museum and D.J. College. The banners read ” Jo Mulk Ka Gaddar Hen,Wo Mout Ka Haqdar Hen- Ahliyan-e-Karachi” (Death to traitors of the country- from people of Karachi).

Meanwhile, MQM Pakistan chief Farooq Sattar distanced his party from the ‘banners’ competition’  going on in the city. He said that MQM had nothing to do with the banners put up in the city.
