Shashnak Manohar has stepped down as Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Presidentship and he is also the Chairman of International Cricket Council(ICC).
According to reports, Manohar has resigned on advice of Lodhan committee as the suggestions were given in Lodhan panel that laws of cricket board again to be compiled and conflict of interest has to be ended beside panel also gave the advise that one person should not have two posts whereas Shashnak Manohar is already chairman of ICC.
However Indian board did not follow Lodhan panel suggestions on which Supreme Court had ordered immediate implementation on it whereas last year, after death of Jagmohan Dalmiya, Shashnak Manohar was appointed as BCCI president. Indian media said, ICC’s chairman Manohar can again contest election for the slot of ICC chairmanship.
