Bodies of 2 Pakistanis Drowned In Libya To Reach Home Today

Islamabad (February 18, 2018):  Two more bodies of Pakistanis who were drowned at Libya Coast while trying to smuggle to Europe would be brought to the country on Sunday.

According to details, the bodies of Majid Hussain who hails from Gujrat and Luqman from Jaranwala would be brought back on Sunday at Islamabad Airport.

The Foreign office has made arrangements at the Benazir International Airport in order to facilitate the families of the victims in identifying their loved ones. Earlier on February 14, the bodies of the 11 Pakistanis, who died in a tragic boat accident in Libya, arrived in Islamabad and handed over to their families.

Pakistan government had made special arrangements for bringing the bodies back to the country.

Talking to media after handing over dead bodies to respective families, director Libyan crisis cell Shozeb Abbas told that the incident took place on January 31 and 13 Pakistani were drowned. He said that 11 of them have been handed over to their families today.

Earlier dead bodies brought back to Benazir International Airport through flight number SV 722. Two officials of the foreign office were deputed at the airport to guide the families of the victims.According to FO spokesman Dr Faisal, the bodies of Ikramul Haq, Qasim Baig, Kashif Jail, Tanzel ur Rehman, Azmat Bibi, Waleed Akram, Mirza Ghulam Fareed, Muhammad Aziz, Luqman Ali, Mazhar Hussain and Farhan Ali have been brought back to the country.
