WEB DESK: The body of a female mountaineer from the Czech Republic, who tragically fell while attempting to summit Nanga Parbat, has not yet been recovered.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Diamer, Nizamuddin, helicopters were used in an operation to locate the foreign climber’s body, but unfortunately, the effort was unsuccessful. He added that the rescue operation is now under review, and the helicopters have been sent back to Skardu.
He also mentioned that advanced technology and expert assistance are being employed to trace the climber’s location. is noted that the 47-year-old foreign woman, Kolaov Shava Klara, along with a six-member team, arrived at Buner Base Camp on June 17 and set out to reach the summit of Nanga Parbat. During the climb, she and others fell between Camps I and II.
Klara was a renowned mountaineer, having previously summited K2 and Everest.
