South Waziristan: A bomb blast near the office of a peace (Aman) committee in the Wana area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) province’s South Waziristan district, has killed at least seven people and left 29 others wounded.
Deputy Commissioner Nasir Khan confirmed that the explosion occurred close to the committee’s premises, resulting in multiple casualties.
The injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana for treatment. Police officials reported that the peace committee’s office was completely destroyed in the blast.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, but no group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
