BRICS members reject forced displacement of Palestinians

WEB DESK: BRICS member states have firmly rejected any attempt to forcibly displace Palestinians while expressing deep concern over escalating tensions and conflicts in the Middle East.

In a joint declaration, the member countries urged all sides to show restraint and refrain from steps that could further aggravate the regional situation.

The group stressed that outstanding disputes should be addressed through dialogue and negotiations, while reaffirming the principles of national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The BRICS nations also voiced serious concern over attacks against peaceful nuclear facilities and called for greater respect for international norms.

On the Gaza conflict, the member states renewed their call for an immediate ceasefire and reiterated their support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The declaration also backed reforms to the United Nations Security Council, reflecting the group’s call for a more representative international system.

BRICS members reiterated that the forced displacement of Palestinians was unacceptable and should not be permitted under any circumstances.

The group further expressed its support for China as it prepares to assume the BRICS presidency in 2027.
