ISLAMABAD: Polling for local government elections in the country’s 41 cantonment boards concluded at 5:00 PM and counting of votes is underway.
The voting process started at 8 am and continued till 5 pm without any break.
The unofficial and unconfirmed results for local government elections in the 41 cantonment boards have started pouring in.
As per unofficial results, PTI who has won 62 seats, followed by independent candidates with 49 seats.
Among the Opposition parties, PML-N has won 52 seats, MQM-P 10, PPP 13 JI 2, and JUI-F has won one seat.
