Case filed against Bushra Bibi under telegraph act over video statement.

DERA GAZI KHAN: A case has filed against Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, under the Telegraph Act of 1885 following her controversial video statement.

The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged in Dera Ghazi Khan, accusing Bushra Bibi of making inflammatory remarks aimed at inciting hatred and misleading the public.

According to the police, legal action is being pursued against Bushra Bibi under Section 126 of the Telegraph Act, along with other applicable laws.

In her recent video, Bushra Bibi claimed that after Imran Khan’s visit to Medina, where he reportedly walked barefoot, former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa received calls questioning his association with Imran Khan. She alleged that Bajwa was told, “Who is this person you’ve brought? We do not want such people.”

Bushra Bibi further asserted that Bajwa was informed, “We are in the process of eliminating Sharia law in the country, and you’ve brought such a person here.” She suggested that since then, a smear campaign had been launched against her, with Imran Khan being labeled a “Jewish agent.”

In response to the backlash generated by her statement, Imran Khan expressed concerns over the reaction within PTI leadership and advised his wife to distance herself from politics.
