CDF Asim Munir celebrates Eid with frontline troops in Zhob, Balochistan

RAWALPINDI: On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Staff (CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Zhob District in Balochistan to celebrate the festival alongside frontline personnel stationed along the western borders, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Wednesday.

The visit started with Eid prayers and special supplications dedicated to Pakistan’s ongoing peace, stability, and prosperity, as well as to the Shuhada — the martyrs who laid down their lives defending the homeland.

Expressing Eid greetings to officers and soldiers, the Field Marshal praised their resilience, operational readiness, and unwavering vigilance in the face of foreign-backed terrorism.

He paid heartfelt tribute to the troops’ unmatched bravery and sacrifices in protecting the nation from threats posed by hostile forces and terrorist networks.

Referring to the recent terror attack in Quetta, allegedly orchestrated by Indian-supported elements and their proxies, the Field Marshal reaffirmed that such heinous acts will not diminish the determination of Pakistan’s armed forces or its people.

He stressed that the morale and spirit of the armed forces and civilians remain strong, promising that the military, in close coordination with law enforcement agencies and the local population of Balochistan, will continue to pursue and bring to justice all those involved in terrorism.

Upon arrival, the Field Marshal was received by Commander Quetta Corps. He also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and paid respects to the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the service of the motherland.
