ISLAMABAD: On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his support and solidarity with the oppressed peoples of Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He also called on the nation to show compassion and care for the needy and vulnerable members of society.

In his Eid message marking the 10th of Zil Hajj 1447 Hijri, the Prime Minister offered warm wishes to the people of Pakistan and Muslims worldwide, emphasizing the spiritual significance of Eid as a time for sacrifice, unity, and social responsibility.

He highlighted that Eid teaches Muslims to give up personal desires for higher causes, viewing such acts of devotion as the ultimate expression of faith and loyalty. The spirit of sacrifice, he said, encourages individuals to transcend selfishness and foster compassion and altruism.

“Eid ul-Adha reflects the profound example set by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) in complete submission to Allah’s will, and Hazrat Ismail’s (AS) unwavering obedience,” the Prime Minister stated, as quoted by the PM Office Media Wing.

He further emphasized that the core values of sacrifice, unity, and brotherhood are essential for national cohesion and sustainable development. The Prime Minister also paid homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives defending the homeland and combating terrorism, describing their sacrifices as a source of national pride.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the just struggles of Palestinians and Kashmiris, he prayed that Allah blesses everyone with the true spirit of Eid, accepts their sacrifices, and fosters a world filled with peace, compassion, and harmony.
