RAWALPINDI: Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, on Monday reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to deepening its longstanding and brotherly relations with Indonesia, with a special focus on defence and security cooperation, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The reaffirmation came during a meeting at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi with Indonesia’s Naval Chief, Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali. The Indonesian Admiral praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and recognized their efforts in promoting regional peace and stability.
Discussions during the meeting covered topics such as regional security, mutual interests, and bilateral defence collaboration, ISPR reported. Both military leaders expressed satisfaction with the existing military ties and committed to expanding cooperation in areas including joint training exercises, defence exchanges, and professional development initiatives, underscoring their shared commitment to regional stability.
