ISLAMABAD: Chairman PTA, Major General (Retd) Hafeez-ur-Rehman, met with the Starlink team to discuss opportunities for promoting digital connectivity in Pakistan.
According to the PTA spokesperson, the meeting took place at the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, where discussions focused on regulatory frameworks and strategies for effective service integration.
The PTA spokesperson further mentioned that the conversation addressed issues regarding standard broadband access in Pakistan’s remote areas. The Chairman emphasized the use of modern technologies to promote connectivity in the country.
According to the PTA spokesperson, discussions are ongoing with the Satellite Regulatory Body regarding Starlink’s registration, as obtaining a registration license from the Satellite Regulatory Body is a mandatory requirement.
