Islamabad (September 09, 2018): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad at Prime Minister House.

During the meeting issue pertaining to the mutual understanding came under discussion.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Masood Khalid were also present on the occasion.

Earlier today, the premier Imran Khan held a meeting with Saudi Information and Culture Minister Dr Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad.

Matters pertaining to bilateral ties between the two countries were discussed in the meeting. Increasing mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was also discussed in the meeting.

The Minister conveyed the message of felicitation to Prime Minister Imran Khan on behalf of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman. He also invited the Prime Minister to visit Saudi Arabia.

Awwad Bin Saleh Alawwad also conveyed felicitation of Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman to Imran Khan on becoming Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Information Minister, Fawad Chaudhry and Foreign Secretary were also present in the meeting.COAS Gen Bajwa, Chinese FM Discuss Regional SecurityEarlier on September 08, the Chinese delegation led by Foreign Minister Mr Wang Yi met army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and discussed matters relating to regional security and bilateral cooperation.

The Chinese Foreign Minister said that Pakistan-China relationship is based on the convergence of views and mutual respect.

Appreciating professionalism of Pakistan Army, Foreign Minister said that world should acknowledge Pakistan’s efforts towards regional peace and stability.He appreciated security provided to CPEC and said that China believes in inclusive prosperity.

The army chief thanked the foreign minister for his visit and continued Chinese support to Pakistan.

He said that Pakistan has suffered from global contestation but “we are poised to claim our rightful place in comity of nations through the commitment to peace and stability both within and without.”Chinese Ambassador in Pakistan Mr Yao Jing was part of the delegation.
